Sin had been upstairs in her room in the middle of a sketch but the noise downstairs was beginning to bother her. It wasn’t that the stereo was cranked, everyone in the house made the walls shake half the time when they played music, but that the bass seemed to have been fucked with because it sounded a bit off. Maybe Emma had accidentally done it somehow because the Ariana Grande blaring clearly meant it was her down there. She snagged the bottle off of her dresser that she had been working through and headed for the living room.
Yeah, something had definitely happened here. Emma had been dancing around, stopping when the music was turned way down and she whirled around to see Sin.
Is it too loud? I wasn’t trying to bother you.
Nope. That’s not the problem here.
Her words were halfway muttered because she was listening intently. She handed her bottle off and then a finger was held up so Emma would give her a second without talking. She killed the radio entirely and yanked the cord out of the wall before turning it slightly. She pulled the coffee table over to be able to stand on it to have a better look at the issue, which turned out to be exactly what she thought it was.
A wire is loose so the subs are only hitting part of the time. Give me a second.
The stereo was scooted a few inches more to the side so she could twist the ends of the wire more and reconnect it fully.
This should make it sound about fifty times better. Not sure if it got bumped or if it bounced out on its own. Second happens in my car sometimes, no big deal.
I still have no idea how you drive it. I can barely breathe sometimes when I ride with you because it hits all the way in my chest when it’s way up.
Ready to piss off the neighbors more?
She asked with a smirk. Emma nodded.
I love that they never call the cops.
Shit, me too. I’d get pissed off and slit three tires. Makes it have to come out of pocket to fix that way. Probably take a bat to the damn thing too. Most people don’t have extremely comprehensive insurance that covers vandalism. Isn’t cheap. I smash the windshield and they get to pay for that too. Would suck for them since that car showed up only a couple months ago.
Emma started to laugh and then remembered who she was talking to and that it wasn’t even remotely a joke. She decided it was better to not ask how Sin knew all of that even though she was really curious. Maybe one day she’d feel like taking the risk of possibly opening a can of worms but today was not that day.
The cord was put back into the wall before Sin drug the table back into place and then turned the music back on, the volume going up to where it had been before.
See? It’s much better now.
It really is! Do you wanna stay down here since you fixed it and all?
Not particularly but Sin didn’t want to just be a dick when she looked like she really wanted the company. She took her bottle back from Emma and chugged part of it. Might as well get to that point where the type of music didn’t matter.
Wait. Did she really just try to basically tell someone to dump their girlfriend because she wanted to fuck them?
Pretty much but I think we’ve all had those moments.
An eyebrow rose.
I haven’t had that moment.
Isn’t your person still technically married?
Yeah but that’s a completely different situation. No one was-
It’s close enough!
It really wasn’t, not even a tiny bit, but she could tell from how animated Emma was talking that she’d been drinking too. Might as well let her be ridiculous and enjoy herself for a bit.
You can’t tell me if you were super into him for a long time before you started dating that you wouldn’t have pulled that shit.
Sin was actually offended at the leap Emma had just made and it must have shown on her face.
No, I’m serious. Trust me you would have at least thought it because everyone does at least once. Guys do it too. Literally everyone. You’ve never had someone do that?
Try to get me to break up with someone? Uh, no, not for that reason.
Well someone just didn’t say it out loud. You’re really pretty! There’s no way it hasn’t been at least thought about. I’d have done it if your brother was still with that cunt when I met him. Only I would probably have just told him instead of keeping it in my brain. Anyway, just think about it for a second and then tell me you wouldn’t have felt that way about V like I said. If you really, really wanted to be with him and he was super with someone else. You have to pretend you liked him this much before you got together and change wanting to fuck him to wanting to date him so it fits you.
She was glad no one had ever told her that. It would be awkward as hell for a few stunned seconds before she spit in someone’s face and told them to fuck off. The second part required a lot more thinking and dissection of it all. They’d just always been friends until recently so this was really hard to picture. Emma was dancing about again but it was clear she was waiting on some kind of response since she hadn’t said anything else. Sin had never been that type of person but she’d also never had feelings for someone as strongly as she did for him. She was shocked as hell when she finally stumbled onto an answer.
Oh my god, I would have been that asshole and now I hate you because I know it and I don’t wanna know it! I liked myself a little better before you made me think about this shit. I didn’t ask for this! I just wanted to fix your music like the decent person I thought I was before I came down here.
Then don’t think about it! You’re an asshole about a lot of things. Totally okay to be one there too.
She picked up her glass from where it had been sitting on an end table and clinked it against Sin’s bottle.
To us, the bitches who would have said something about it.
Yep, that was Sin’s cue to just get fully wasted so that realization would go away for a while. Before too long she knew the lyrics to that song and the one about getting all the things. She hadn’t asked what that one was called but it was pretty catchy and she felt the bit about getting whatever she wanted.
Sin was dancing on the coffee table and Emma was up on the couch, both of them singing along, when the front door opened. She hadn’t noticed at first, not expecting anyone to come through it. She had just assumed her brother was up in his room occupied the whole time.
Break up with your girlfriend, ‘cause I’m bo-
Sin had been in the process of turning when her eyes landed on Dom. She let out a yelp and about fell off the table. She hopped down and cut the music. Her brother shut the door behind him, not even disguising the fact he was laughing.
Oh, just wait until I tell Dex and Chase about this later.
Dom, no! Seriously, I swear to fucking god, Dominic!
Fine. I’ll keep my mouth shut if you do one thing for me.
He gave her a look and she knew exactly what that meant. She weighed her options for a minute, glaring at him, before she agreed.
Just know I really fucking hate you for this.
You still have Dez’s number?
Not saved, no. But I’ve never forgotten it.
She stormed upstairs, cussing Dom out the whole way because she still hadn’t wanted to fix this broken friendship and now was being forced to try.
You’re such a dick! Can’t you just let her have some fucking fun?
Emma was nowhere near happy with him either.
Sometimes you gotta be to get her to actually listen. I wasn’t actually going to tell anyone anything.
So you fake blackmailed her? Really?! That’s even worse! I really don’t like you right now.
She stormed off herself.
Annnd I’m the asshole again just for trying to do something good. Great.
Then he called up the stairs to Emma.
Does this mean I’m stuck on the couch tonight?
The slamming door gave him an answer. Eh, she’d be down to get him in a few hours. Probably.
Tora, I suppose you want some form of civility here in the form of a congratulations on your title, possibly some kudos about winning that little battle royale. Nah, the person you ‘won’ the title off of didn’t even give it their best defense. You didn’t have to work very hard. To be honest, neither of you little fucks deserve that belt after that poor ass showing in the ring that night, but what could ya do with shit management running the show? Not much apparently. Not much. And the royale, it really was fucking little, wasn’t it? Mmm, indeed it was. Nowhere near the amount I blew threw during the one I was in so, really, it wasn’t too huge a feat to pull off. Look at who most of your opponents were in that. It was almost a guaranteed win. Not worth even a half of a nod in your direction for overcoming them.
So if you were looking for any of that? Stop running towards that little glimmer of hope before you slam into a brick wall. Or don’t, your decision. Doubt you’ll get any from anyone else either. It’s pretty clear nothing bestowed on you was anymore than a streak of good luck. I’m here to end that.
Because that’s what it really boils down to here. Your belt against mine, your lack of effort against all the work I’ve put in. When it comes to skill over good fortune? Let’s see which actually holds up out there.
The camera cut out. A few seconds later it cut back in.
I wasn’t going to do this. I wasn’t going to waste my time taking this weak ass bait but apparently I can’t help myself. Look here, Christy. I get it. I was the only thing that ever made you the least bit relevant. We all are aware. Trust me. But stop dropping my name and get off my metaphorical dick. Do you even realize how ridiculous you look holding onto a loss that you try to throw into peoples’ faces like you actually accomplished a damn thing? Makes me debate if I should bring the fight back to you and knock your fucking teeth out; we’ll see how well you can throw my name around when you can’t say your esses and shit. Take your chihuahua ass somewhere and stop trying to get back on the porch before I fucking eat your little yappy ass and be patient zero for an entirely different disease.

The scene opens inside the office of Dr. Rosario. She was sitting in her usual chair but was a bit on edge lately. Ever since the blackout, she kept lights on in her apartment in fear of seeing those green eyes again. She was so busy thinking about the incident that she didn't see Tora Nishida walk inside with the Demolition title in his hands. He sits down in a chair on the other side of her desk before throwing the title down on top of her desk. This causes the doctor to jump a bit.
Someone seems rather jumpy today.
Sorry about that. I'm glad that you could make it to the session and congratulations on winning the Demolition title
Nishida had a bored expression on his face when she talked about him winning the Demolition title. He was hoping to bring something out of Maki in their match but he ended up being VERY disappointed.
Yes I did win the title, but I was expecting more from Maki. We saw so much potential in here but she ended up failing our initiation.
Well hopefully your opponent Sin will give you a challenge.
Nishida scoffs at the mention of sin
Sin, another person that liked to run her pretty little mouth and talk crap about her opponents. I'm aware that she's underground champion and that she's a good wrestler, but not as good as me. The one thing I have to say is that there is no glimmer of hope I'm chasing. I walk in the valley of darkness as if it's my very home. At sanatorium, i'm going to destroy her glimmer of hope of defeating me.
There's nothing wrong with having hope
Nishida slowly began to chuckle as he looked at the doctor
Hope is something that weaklings create in order to make themselves believe that things will turn out better. That there is still a chance for all the bad things going on in their life to change. Sadly, those that believe in hope, they don't even try to change things themselves are the ones that parish. Sunday, i will break what any amount of hope that Sin has at beating me by doing what i do best: win by any means necessary
Nishida grabs his belt and gently caresses it as if it was the most precious thing to him. He didn't care what sin said, he-THEY knew that they deserved the belt after showing a dominant performance. Sunday, they were gonna do the same with Sin.
It would be a shame if the underground champion gets hurt before she even makes it into the ring. It would be even more a shame if she were to face a certain beast. Anyways, I believe it's time for me to go and prepare for my match.
Wait, we still haven't even started talking about your childhood like we discussed.
We can do that at the next session. So just consider this a small chat between acquaintances.
María was a bit surprised that he considered her an acquaintance. Seeing as she didn't say anything else, Nishida walks out of the office with the Demolition title on his shoulder as the scene fades to black.
